ABC Good Morning Columbia Appearance

In February we have numerous celebrations, including Superbowl Sunday, Black History Month, Presidents Day, and (my favorite) National Snack Food Month! Snack Food Month established in 1989 by the National Snack Food Association and the National Potato Promotion Board. Their goal in founding this month was to increase consumption and raise awareness about snacking, and the importance of keeping it as healthy as we can!

For most of us, a healthy snack is necessary to regulate metabolism and control appetite when the duration between meals exceeds four-five hours, and/or when your body demonstrates physical signals of hunger such as stomach emptiness, rumbling accompanied by weakness. Consider keeping snacks healthy by choosing options with fiber and lean protein to improve satiety and digestion.
